The Academic Support Center offers tutoring to students in many subject areas.  Some subject areas are by appointment and occasionally on a walk-in basis.  Please call the number above for availability of tutors and/or see the schedules below. 

Please make an appointment ahead of time to ensure the tutor is available!

ASC 2012 Summer I Tutoring starts on May 9, 2012

Math tutoring is offered on a walk-in basis in G-150.  Science tutors are available by appointment according to the schedule listed below.  Be sure to make an appointment with a Science tutor ahead of time in order to ensure the tutor is available.

How should I prepare for tutoring?

• Write down questions before arriving
• Read all assigned readings
• Write drafts of essays
• Attempt homework
• Bring textbooks, syllabi, tests, notes, papers, assignments, calculator, etc.

What can I expect?

• Friendly and helpful tutors to work with you
• Tutors may rotate among students during busy periods
• Tutors will ask questions and make suggestions.

What shouldn’t I expect?

• Tutors to work only with you.
• Tutors to substitute as your instructor when you have missed class.
• Tutors to do your work.
