The Pontiac Center reflects Oakland Community College’s commitment to serve the citizens of north central Oakland County.
The Center is a bridge to the College where full-scale programs, specialized services and support systems are housed. The Pontiac Center is designed
to blend student needs with College resources in the convenient environment of an urban setting.
The Pontiac Center provides personal, academic and job counseling. Space is available for basic skills assessment as well as academic classes and job
training.
The Pontiac Center’s goal is to be seen as a student and community support system. The Center is also committed to the unemployed and under-employed
members of the community who are willing to work hard in their retraining efforts through the College’s Workforce Preparation Services. The Center’s
goal is to provide the trainees with marketable skills and place them in jobs where they have the opportunity to grow into positions of greater responsibility.
