Writing and Reading for Academic Purposes II

Prerequisite: ESL 1510 or appropriate MTELP scores.

(Enrollment is limited to students whose first language is not English.)

GE Outcomes: Effective Communication

This course introduces strategies for improving reading comprehension of academic texts and developing compositions using a variety of organizational structures. The logic patterns of English and the processes of writing for academic purposes will be introduced or reviewed. Learning resources such as the dictionary, computers and the library will be introduced through class activities. Course/lab fees.
