The field of construction management is one of the fastest growing employment opportunities in the United States. Construction management careers are a professional job with varying opportunities and salary levels. Construction managing is a high-demand, exciting and ever-changing career option. In this program, students learn all aspects of managing construction job sites including, but not limited to: job-site administration, estimating & bidding, construction systems, construction safety, construction surveying and basic business applications. These skills can qualify you to work in management-based jobs in the construction industry including:
- Project Manager
- Assistant Project Manager
- Project Engineer
- Estimator
- Safety Management
- Contract Administrator
- Supervision/Superintendent
Not Just One Degree
Whether you are new to the construction industry or a seasoned veteran, OCC has a program for you. Listening to industry, we have developed a variety of programs that will give you the knowledge and expertise to specialize in a particular area. Only OCC gives you this many options to build your career in construction management.- Construction Management Associate Degree: a complete degree program that qualifies you to work at mid-management.
- Construction Management Professional Associate Degree: If you are a skilled trade worker with Journeyman status or are state licensed, this “fast track” gives you college credit for work experience.
- Construction Management Certificate: a shorter course that leads to desirable skills including estimating, surveying and project management.
- Construction Management Certificates of Achievement: short blocks of courses that help develop current management skills or complement the above mentioned options.
