Making a Gift to the Foundation
There are many ways to make a gift to the OCC Foundation. Each one has an impact on the students and community residents who pass through OCC's doors.
- Annual Gifts
These are gifts made on a regular, basis and form the backbone of all private support for the college. These gifts may be designated for specific programs or services at the college. - Tributes and Memorials
Recognizing a loved one, friend, colleague, company or organization makes a meaningful gift not only to the College but to the person or organization you choose to honor. - Endowed Gifts
An endowed fund will ensure your legacy at OCC and provide permanent support for our students through scholarships, book funds, academic programs or maintenance on buildings and labs. - Planned Gifts
Providing for OCC in your will or through a charitable gift annuity will leave a lasting testament to your commitment to OCC and to higher education. - Matching Gifts
If you or your spouse work for a matching gift company or one of its subsidiaries, your gift could be doubled or even tripled. Click here to find a list of matching gift companies in Michigan.
How to Give
- By Checks
Checks may be made payable to the Oakland Community College Foundation. Print out and complete the contribution form and mail it with your check to: The OCC Foundation, 2480 Opdyke Road, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48304-2266. - Credit Card
Charge your gift to MasterCard, Visa or Discovery Card. Click on the link to print the form, record your information and mail to the Foundation office at: The OCC Foundation, 2480 Opdyke Road, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48304-2266; or fax it to 248-341-2135. - Appreciated Stock
Gifts of stock are also welcome. Please contact the OCC Foundation office at 248-341-2137 and we will be happy to assist you. - Payroll Deduction
Employees of OCC may make their gifts through installments by filling out the Foundation Gift Deduction Form (BUS 50). Forms are available from campus business managers, the Foundation Office, or on Infomart Forms. Please send the completed form to the Foundation office. - Gifts-in-Kind
Gifts of equipment, furnishings, and other tangible goods may need to be evaluated for appropriate use and, depending on the value, professionally appraised before the Foundation can accept them. Please contact the Foundation Office at 248-341-2137 or OCCFoundation@oaklandcc.edu for details. - Designating Your Gift
To direct your gift to a specific fund or program, please indicate the preferred use on your gift form, check or attach a note or letter to that effect. If you want your gift to be used where it is needed most, indicate it as an “unrestricted” gift. - Planned Gifts
To establish a bequest or a charitable gift annuity, please contact your attorney or financial advisor first. You may contact the Foundation office at 248-341-2137 at any time for general assistance.
