WHAT’S THERE TO DO ON CAMPUS?

Student interaction and involvement in college activities is an important part of the educational experience. The college provides any number of student life (after class) activities. These include:

  • Men’s and women’s athletic teams participate in nine sports adding excitement to college life. The 1987 Raiders men’s basketball team was the community college national champion. The women’s softball team has been Eastern Division MCCAA champion in 11 of the last 15 seasons. Gymnasiums with basketball, weight rooms and racquetball are all available to students at no cost. The Orchard Ridge Campus even has an Olympic-sized swimming pool!
  • Numerous clubs, entertainment and recreational activities add to your college experience. A rich variety of local and national entertainers regularly perform on the campuses.
  • Each campus has a food service facility where students congregate for a light lunch or just a cup of coffee and some friendly conversation.
  • The Orchard Ridge Campus is home to the highly respected Culinary Studies Institute. Students in the culinary program operate the Ridgewood Café (it serves a high quality luncheon menu) and the Reflections Restaurant, which provides a gourmet dining experience. Check them out, they’re great places for a relaxing lunch. The Studio Café, Orchard Ridge’s cyber café, is a cozy spot for a cup of coffee with a friend, or a trip on the Internet.
