As our world continues to shrink, it becomes increasingly imperative that as a student, you develop an awareness of and appreciation for your place and role in the larger global community. There are many ways to expand horizons intellectually and experientially. These include contact with other peoples, countries, and world views to enlarge your perspectives. As a student in today’s global marketplace, you must become a citizen of the world if you are to achieve your greatest potential. Therefore, a top priority of the College is to ensure students understand global dynamics by providing relevant educational experiences that address the relationships of people, cultures, and nations in an interconnected world.

Oakland Community College’s commitment to global education has created a number of opportunities for student engagement. Oakland County and the Greater Detroit Metropolitan Area provide a vast array of resources for the College to tap for customized events. Many of our courses include global components that raise awareness of cultures around the globe. Our Global Education site provides additional information on various programs and opportunities scheduled and offered throughout the year.

Study Abroad Programs
