Surgical Technology Program Requirements

  All applicants must first be admitted to Oakland Community College. By June 30 of the year in which they want to be admitted to the Surgical Technology program, students must submit:

• A completed Application Form
• Complete OCC record
• OCC transcript evaluation (transfer students only)

Pre-Requisite Courses (OCC or equivalent)

• Microbiology
• Human Anatomy and Physiology I and II
• Computer Literacy
• Composition I
• Compostion II or Professional Communication
• Humanities
• Medical Law and Ethics
• Medical Terminology
• Physical Education
• American Government
• Introduction to Psychology
