Please note that OCC Libraries' four search screens are customized. The help screens, of which this is one, are also customized. Use your browser's back button to return to the search screen to preserve any search you have already done.

BROADCAST SEARCH lets you direct a search to multiple DALNET libraries. By default, this screen will direct the search to library catalogs DALNET academic libraries, including OCC's. You may select other libraries by checking the boxes next to their names.

The search types are five keyword searches, plus the exact search ISBN (International Standard Book Number). You may combine several of the keyword types in one search, but ISBN may not be combined with any other.

AUTHOR keyword	Searching for either smith or john could produce more records than you want to explore. SUBJECT keyword	SUBJECT starts with requires the correct words from the beginning. With SUBJECT keyword any of the words will do.	colonial period [books about American colonial period without specifying exact dates or a particular area]
SERIES keyword	Use as many words as possible to avoid excessive numbers in results.	library america [series of major works of american literature from a particular publisher]
ISBN exact match	Must include all characters of the International Standard Book Number.	0679454926 [book called American Scripture: Making the Declaration of Independence]
