Authentication

Each user must be authenticated as a legitimate user of the database(s) to use materials from OCC’s paid subscription databases.  Students and instructors in Blackboard and Educator are automatically authenticated.  

Non-Blackboard students must be authenticated by clicking into one of the off-campus links to any OCC Library database and then logging in with their Online Services ID and password. This is the same ID and password used to register for classes or check grades. After doing this, they should be able to view any durable links.   If you have a non-Blackboard web site, you are cautioned not to post full-text articles without durable links since they will be visible to everyone accessing the web.
