A Career for You!
What is a Paralegal Program?
Paralegals provide legal support services to lawyers, clients and courts.
While they are neither trained nor licensed to practice law, they are trained
to assist in performing all tasks provided by licensed attorneys except
to give legal advice, accept clients, set legal fees and present cases in
court.
Is the program approved by the American Bar Association?
Yes. The program has been approved by the
American Bar Association (ABA) for
a number of years and just recently the college underwent an extensive review
by the ABA. The result of the review was that the ABA has extended its approval
of the program.
What is the cost of tuition?
Unlike private schools and public universities OCC is financially supported
by both the state of Michigan and Oakland County. Because of that, OCC can
maintain a high quality program and still charge affordable tuition. OCC
is truly an educational bargain. For students who qualify,
financial aid is available.
