College Information

Administrative Withdrawal

The college reserves the right to administratively drop students from courses for which they do not meet the requirements. Eligibility for class attendance includes the removal of unmet obligations (academic and/or financial) to the college and the satisfaction of course prerequisites.

Announcement of College Closings

College or campus closings for day classes will be announced through major radio stations by 7:00 am. Closing of the college or a campus for evening classes will be announced by 4:00 pm.

College Right To Change

The college reserves the right to change policies, procedures, programs, and fees without notice.

Incident / Medical Assistance

The college will offer any assistance necessary when responding to incidents or injuries that occur on college property; however, the college will bear no responsibility for the cost of such services which must be billed directly to the recipient.

Instructor Changes

The college reserves the right to make changes in the Schedule of Classes as circumstances require. Enrollment levels may require that instructors teach different sections than originally scheduled.

Student Conduct

Students attending Oakland Community College are expected to respect and abide by the laws governing the community in which the college is located as well as the rules, regulations and policies of the college. Students are expected to be familiar with all of the rules and regulations.

Student Responsibilities

Students are responsible for the prerequisites and/or corequisites of the courses in which they register. Students are also responsible for the coursenotes of the sections in which they register and all information contained within this schedule.
