Professional/Civic Involvements:  Past recipient of the 1989 Association of Community College Trustees Dale Ensign Award for Outstanding Community College Trustee in North America; testified before the House and Senate Educational Sub-Committees regarding the reauthorization of the G.I. Bill and Higher Education Act
