Training Funds

Oakland Community College has established a $2 million loan program to underwrite training costs for new and expanding businesses in Oakland County. This program is part of the Michigan New Jobs Training Program (MNJTP). OCC will work with employers who are creating new jobs to customize training programs.


Michigan New Jobs Training Program (MNJTP)
The Michigan New Jobs Training Program is a unique economic incentive which allows for businesses to partner with one of the state’s 28 community colleges, to develop a training program that produces the highly-trained employees that can increase your competitive edge.

Economic Development Job Training (EDJT)
The Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) administers the Economic Development Job Training (EDJT) program. This program provides training funds for businesses that promote new job opportunities, advanced training for existing employees, and skilled training for new workers.
