Exploring Career Options
This informational 4-session seminar will help you to assess where you are on the career development continuum, explore options, learn how to use your skills, and be equipped to achieve your goals with new resources and motivation. Focus on self-exploration, motivation, interests, and decision-making.

Womencenter Book Group
Reading is an adventure for the imagination. Enhance the journey by sharing insights. Join us for 6 sessions as we discuss literature by and about women. Call to register. The book for the first meeting is The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield.

Life’s in the Balance
Do you find yourself struggling to create balance in your life? Do you occupy a wide variety of roles – mother, daughter, partner, worker, volunteer, home manager? Are you busy all day long, every day, with little time to breathe? Have you forgotten to place yourself in your life equation? Learn to view “time management” in a different way as you discover how to prioritize your life’s responsibilities and choices.

Surviving Divorce
Divorce is a transition that can feel overwhelming, create feelings of loss, anger and hurt, and bring into question your self-esteem. Join with other women in this supportive and informative 6-week group to examine and explore these and other feelings, the healing process, and the journey to yourself.

A Women’s Gathering
Gather with other women and discuss concerns and issues about the personal, social, and political aspects of being a woman in our society. Through information, interaction, and introspection we will discover why women are who we are and rediscover our full potential. There will be 4 sessions. Preregistration is necessary.

Back to School Day
Have you considered attending college? You can begin or return to school successfully! Explore the possibilities by attending a day created just for you. Topics you’ll cover will include: how to get started, financial concerns, stress and time management, balancing work, family and school, and academic and career considerations. You’ll learn about helpful and available resources on campus and have an opportunity to visit a class. Childcare is available for a fee (must be prearranged when you call to register). Begin now to map out your educational journey!

Sexual Assault Awareness Program
Two-hour seminar provided free for all OCC students. Learn the facts of sexual assault, prevention habits and techniques, verbal, escape, and last-resort skills, and create the potential for increased safety. The seminar is free, but reservations are requested.

Performance art addressing the lack of opportunities for women and people of color. An energetic romp through herstory and a look at some of the funniest female activists. A unique art exhibition featuring women artists from around the nation displaying original artwork in various media. Some artwork is available for purchase.
