Critical Thinking

OCC Learning Outcome Statement:

Graduates can demonstrate and apply the skills to conceptualize, think creatively and innovatively, analyze, synthesize, and apply information.



The faculty of Oakland Community College have defined five distinct dimensions for the Critical Thinking General Education outcome. They include:
  1. Evaluates levels/kinds of information.
  2. Recognizes and understands the implications of relationships between ideas.
  3. Uses information to develop conclusion/solution.
  4. Applies knowledge to the assigned task.
  5. Accomplishes the assigned task.
