By Arrangement courses for Summer I & II 2008 are very popular--especially with students who have busy schedules. They allow you to complete a course as quickly as you would like or meet our scheduled deadlines. By arrangement courses are similar to independent study--
You must attend the one-hour orientation. It is extremely important that you call our department at 248-522-3620 for the date and time of orientation you will need to attend. At orientation, you will meet with your instructor and be given your syllabus, assignment sheets, and due dates for your course work. We will discuss our lab procedures & textbooks, also.
NEW BIS 1000 Keyboarding software is actually on the Internet and after completing the first few assignments in the lab you can work wherever you have Internet connectivity!!! BIS 1010 Keyboarding Skill Building texts are accompanied by CDs that have the entire course software on them—once you complete the first two assignments you can complete your course work at any location that has a computer! The BIS 2100-2109 one credit classes will be using self-paced project textbooks. These courses allow you to progress at your own pace, complete the courses early, or meet scheduled the due dates. Take a Microsoft Office Specialist exam in MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, or Outlook at the Orchard Ridge Campus. Exams cost $75 and take approximately an hour.
