Condominium Operation: Introduction to
the Essentials for Success
This course is a must for
all persons who are either interested in serving on a board of directors of
a condominium, co-op or homeowners' association, or who are presently
serving on these boards, including developers.
Matters to be discussed
will include: the legal and fiduciary responsibilities of directors and
officers; how the statutes in the state of Michigan affect officers and
directors of a condominium and other homeowners' associations; enforcement
of restrictions and bylaws by the community association; how amendments to
condominium documents will enhance the condominium association including a
discussion of recent changes in the laws and the FCC Satellite rule;
potential liability incurred by directors and officers and preventative
measures that should be practiced; collection of assessments in community
associations; and parliamentary procedures and the four essential audits.
