Revit Advanced Architectural Applications
      Prerequisite CAD1151 or consent of instructor


This course expands on the use of CAD software for the application of building information modeling (BIM) for architecture.  Students will learn CAD techniques of advanced wall creation and manipulation, creation of details, wall sections, multiple floor systems and stair development.  the course also covers walk through techniques and the management of design revisions within CAD database.  In addition to classroom lecture an demonstrations, students will utilize CAD equipment in an interactive lecture environment.  Refer to current Schedule of Classes for Software version(s) Course/lab fees.

CAD2251.....................3 credits
      Autodesk Inventor
      Prerequisite: CAD1200

CAD2252.....................3 credits - Look for this class in the Winter 2010 schedule!
      AutoCAD Advanced Architectural Desktop using combination
     of Architecture 2008 and Photoshop     
     Prerequisite: CAD 1101 & CAD1151

Introduction to Image Editing Software and how it is applied to develop comprehensive Architecture presentations from technical AutoCAD drawings.  Students will learn to use image editing techniques and principles to create color presentation materials, which includes Architectural Site Plans, Floor Plans, Elevations and Building sections.  Students will also be introduced to Photo-Realistic techniques which can be applied to 2d rendered exterior building elevations.  In addition to formal classroom lecture and demonstrations, students will use equipment such as Photoshop software and other hardware to complete a series of assignments.

CAD2253.....................3 credits
      Digital Process for Manufacturing using Delmia & CATIA V5 software
     
Prerequisite: CAD2254 or CAD1300 or CAD2101 or CAD2102

CAD2257...................4 credits
     
Introduction to Pro/Engineer
      Prerequisite CAD 1101 or consent of instructor

This course is an introduction to computer aided design using the Pro/E product.  Students will apply computer aided design and principles to create drawings and models using 3D solid modeling techniques.  Students will be exposed to the basic concepts of three-dimensional modeling, and design modifications.  In addition to formal classroom lecture and demonstrations, students will utilize CAD equipment in an interactive lecture environment. Refer to current Schedule of Classes for software version(s). Course/lab fees.
