Associate in Liberal Arts (MUS.ALA)

The Music program is an associate degree in liberal arts. The program provides a solid and comprehensive foundation in music. Students completing the program may either continue their education in a four-year institution with approximately two years of requirements fulfilled1, or pursue a career as a private music teacher and/or performer.

Three separate areas of study are available:   Performance/ Instrumental, Performance/Vocal, and
Composition/Music Theory. A certificate option is also available.

Composition/Music Theory Option (MUS.CMT.ALA)

This option prepares the student with the basic skills necessary to continue studies in music education, theory or composition.
