Personal Empowerment, Integrity and Ethical Commitment / Oakland Community College is an open door institution that accepts students who present a broad range of intellectual capacities and academic preparation. Shared Governance / The opportunity for sharing in the governance of Oakland Community College is extended to the students by the Board of Trustees through student representation at Board meetings. Additionally, students may share in the ongoing operations of the college through participation in the College Academic Senate.
