MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT
Associate in Applied Science
CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT OPTION (MGT.CMN.AAS)
The Construction Management Program is designed to prepare men and women to work at entry and middle-level management for general contractors, construction managers and design-build contractors. The program has been developed with the help of Eastern Michigan University Construction Management Program and experts from the construction industry, including the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE) and major construction professional associations.
Oakland Community College has an articulation agreement with Eastern Michigan University allowing students the option of transferring to the EMU Construction Management Bachelor of Science Program upon completion of the Associate in Applied Science Degree in Construction Management Development-Construction Management Option. This unique relationship will allow students to take courses at the Orchard Ridge Campus or transfer equivalent courses from EMU. This will help students currently working in the industry obtain a degree with flexibility in scheduling courses.
Graduates of this program will have gained knowledge in both the technical and business management areas of the construction industry. This degree will give the graduate the ability to obtain employment with a construction company or specialty contractor in a lower-level management position.
