Cinematic Arts
Direct Your Career
OCC’s Cinematic Arts Degree Program includes both
production and film studies, giving you a foundation to take
your career in the direction you choose. From producing your
own films — to pursuing film studies or production at a university — to being a part of the growing movie industry in Michigan, OCC gives
you the right start.
The film industry has come to Michigan and many private
schools are offering film career training. These programs
focus on short-term training, often specializing in one area of
production. The OCC Cinematic Arts program has been
designed to give you in-depth understanding of the nature of
film as an art form.
OCC’s Cinematic Arts program provides an in-depth understanding of the entire movie making process, and prepares students to work in many areas, including:
- Film Studies
- Editing
- Directing
- Animation
- Screenwriting
- Sound design
- Digital Cinematography
Transfer to a University
The Cinematic Arts curriculum has
been created with transferring in mind. Most credits will be accepted
for entry into film programs at state universities including Central
Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Oakland and Wayne State.
