Our Investors

In addition to a multi-million dollar investment made by OCC, Oakland County and the State of Michigan, the following businesses have made significant contributions to making CREST a reality:

  • The Auch Company was founded by George W. Auch in 1908 as a family partnership specializing in the construction of fine homes and churches in and around the City of Detroit, some of which have since been designated as architectural landmarks.  Over the years, Auch expanded to include commercial construction and has since become widely recognized in southeast Michigan for expertise in the construction of health care, commercial and institutional facilities.  Headquartered in Pontiac, Auch was recently listed by Crain’s Detroit Business as one of the top ten contractors in southeastern Michigan.  It has been the college’s contractor on a number of large-and small-scale renovation and building projects over the years, most recently, the CREST project.
  •  Consumers Energy Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Consumers Energy.  Its mission is to fund projects that  strengthen people, families and communities through education, social welfare, culture and the arts, community and civic activities, economic growth and environmental enhancement.  In 2001, Foundation grants funded nearly 1,100 projects.
  • Oakland County
  • Standard Federal Bank was founded in Detroit in 1893.  It is a wholly owned subsidiary of ABN AMRO North America, Inc., the tenth largest bank in the United States.  Standard Federal assets are $45.9 billion.  It ranks number one in assets and number two in deposits in the State.  Standard Federal has been Michigan’s leading mortgage lender by a wide margin for many years.  It is headquartered in Troy and offers a complete range of retail and commercial products through its network of 270 branches in Michigan and Indiana.
  • State of Michigan
  • TAKATA is a global manufacturer and supplier of custom automotive safety systems with operations in the Americas, Europe, and Asia.  Engineering and product testing facilities are located in Michigan, with offices in Auburn Hills.  Products include seat belts, air bag systems, steering wheels, and automotive interior trim.
