Student Password Change for Blackboard and Educator

Please read the information posted below carefully.  This change does not affect current students or students who have logged into the Blackboard or Educator system in the past.
 
In efforts to ensure a more secure environment for our students, we have made the following change, effective immediately, for the student logins.
 
Blackboard and Educator
OCC has assigned to Blackboard or Educator users who have NEVER logged into the system a default/temporary password in the format 'fLMMDDYY' where:

f = first letter of the person's first name in lower case
L = first letter of the person's last name in upper case          
MMDDYY = birthdate

If the person does not have a first name on file then the lower case letter 'x' will be used. If the person does not have a last name on file then the upper case letter 'X' will be used.
 
Just a reminder!  Students who have previously logged into either system will continue to use their current password which they can change as they choose.
 
Please note: If a student is unable to log into Blackboard or Educator please contact the Student Technical Helpdesk at 1.888.341.myIT (6948). You will need to provide student ID number (OCC ID) to the technician to obtain assistance.
