• The results are automatically recorded in the Bb gradebook. Your instructor can see all the student's attempts, but you can only see yours.

  • How do you see your results? Go to Student Tools (a button on the left of your coursesite screen) and then click on Grades. You'll see everything you've done in Blackboard so far. Any tests or grades associated with work not done in Blackboard won't necessarily appear.

  • The online gradebook can contain a number of different icons.
  • - A dash shows a student has not begun to take the test.
! Exclamation Point indicates that the test has been attempted but requires the attention of the instructor. For instance, the test may include essay questions that need to be graded by the instructor.
picture of padlock A padlock indicates that a student has begun the test but has not yet clicked submit.
    ?

A question mark indicates that the student's attempt was never successfully submitted.

picture of check mark Check mark signifies that the student has successfully completed a survey.

    • If you want to see what you did in any single test (all the questions and how you answered them), you can click on the score of the test to see that. This happens if your instructor has enabled this option, so if you see only your score, you know your instructor has not enabled your ability to see more.

    • If your test included both multiple-choice and other objective questions and essay or short answer questions, the score you'll see recorded in Blackboard at first will be only for the objective part of the test (what Blackboard can score automatically). Your instructor has to go in manually and grade your essay and short answer responses and change the grade accordingly.
