reasonably related to and adversely affecting the ability to practice in a

Level of
Licensure
Previous
CPR and Medical First Responder training is
desirable, but not required. It is recommended that
students without previous science or medical background begin by taking MED
1103 (Medical Terminology) and BIO 2630 (Anatomy and Physiology I; note
prerequisites in catalog). It is most beneficial if these classes
are taken prior to any Basic EMT classes. We offer courses leading to
licensure at various levels for career or job-related skills in the
emergency medical care field. Upon successfully completing each EMS
course with a grade no lower than 80% (or 70% for BIO courses
respectively), students are granted certificates, become eligible for exams
to qualify for National Registry, and are permitted to enroll in the next
higher level of the EMS program.
