The EMS Program at Oakland Community College offers both initial and continuing education for EMS providers who wish to obtain or update their Instructor/Coordinator certification.

In order to be eligible to take an Instructor Coordinator Course you must meet the following criteria.

• Three Years experience as an MFR, EMT-B, EMT-S, or EMT-P

• Two letters of recommendation from current Michigan I/C's

• A letter from your employer verifying three years field experience

• A letter of intent from each student

Classroom Portion: From February 8, 2010 to May 12, 2010 every Monday and Wednesday 5:00pm to 9:00pm

Clinical Student Instruction: From May 13, 2010 to July 18, 2010 to complete all student teaching instruction

Classroom Wrap up: From July 19, 2010 to August 4, 2010 every Monday and Wednesday 5:00pm to 9:00pm to complete all classroom instruction and review Clinical Student Instruction requirements
