Extended Degree Program

This degree option is no longer offered.  Students currently in this program should contact an Oakland Community College counselor regarding this change.

This Associate Degree option places special emphasis on working with senior adults. Health promotion is important for all ages and demographically senior adults are one of our fastest growing population.

This option allows additional insights into the limitations and/or capabilities of older people, with special emphasis being placed on the needs of this age group.

This program is designated as an Extended Degree Program because the student must complete a minimum of 73 or more credit hours.

Students interested in transferring to a bachelor's program in Exercise Science or related field should consult with an Oakland Community College counselor.
