Student Loan Applications

Oakland Community College attempts to meet our students' educational needs with grants, scholarships, and work-study.  If the amount of your financial aid does not meet your educational expenses, you may want to consider a loan.  Students should always request the minimum amount necessary to meet these expenses.  Before you can complete the loan application, you must have received a formal determination from Student Financial Resources and Scholarships.  A formal determination can be either an OCC award letter or an OCC letter indicating that you are ineligible for a grant but may apply for a loan.  You may not complete a loan request until you have received this notice from OCC.

You must identify a lending institution if you choose to borrow through the Stafford Loan Program.  Oakland Community College does not endorse any one lender.  The lenders listed are established lenders with a reputation for providing quality service and efficient loan and disbursement processing.  You have the right to use any lender you choose.  If your lender is not listed, submit a Master Promissory Note from your selected lender to the campus where your financial aid application is located.

Summer 2008-09 Student Loan Application:  If you are interested in applying for a loan, follow the directions below.

Note:  All students completing a summer loan application must also complete the Summer Application on  Financial Aid forms page.

Be sure that you have completed the FAFSA before proceeding with the campus selection.
