As a high school dual enrolled student you can get both high school and college credit for the same OCC course while you’re still in
high school. Students are eligible to enroll for credit classes at OCC provided they are currently enrolled in the 10th grade or
higher and have the signature of approval from the high school principal or their designee. Follow these steps in order to attend classes.
Enrolling and Registering as a high school dual enrolled student is easy!
Step 1:
Obtain an OCC Application for Admission online, from your high school counseling
office or from any of the college admission offices.
Step 2:
Complete the Personal Information Section on page 4 and the High School Guest/Dual Enrollment Approval Form on page 6 of OCC's
Application for Admission.
Step 3:
Have your high school principal or counselor sign the form and approve the courses you want to take and check yes to question
number three. In addition, the student must secure a letter from the high school which authorizes payment for the course if
applicable.
Note: A high school guest approval form is valid for one semester and must be renewed each semester you plan to attend.
Step4:
Return the approved form to OCC admission offices.
Step 5:
Take any required assessment tests for placement purposes. Click for more information on placement

Step 6:
Register and pay for your classes. You will need to bring the letter from the high school agreeing to pay for the class when
you register. Information on specific classes with times, days, locations and instructor as well as tuition and fees is available in
the
schedule of classes. Information, which describes the course content and curriculum of the college, is available in the
college catalog.
