EVALUATION

There will be five tests and a comprehensive final exam. Each test will be worth 100 points. The comprehensive final will be worth 200 points.

A list of suggested homework problems will be distributed.  These are to be done by the student each day as means of reinforcing the lecture and discovering where the student needs additional help.  In general these will not be collected, but the instructor reserves the right to do so.  In addition, there will be prepared worksheets, these may be collected.  Anything collected will be given a point value and will be counted as part of your final grade.

You may use your mathpro software for additional practice and reinforcement.  We will discuss this as the semester progresses.

MAKE-UP’S

Test dates are listed on the course schedule. A missed test cannot be made-up.

The grade for only one missed test may be made-up by using your final exam score again. Other missed tests will be given grade of zero. If you know you will miss a test, you must phone or tell me in advance to make arrangements. Again, I will accommodate you one time only.

ATTENDANCE

Because I believe that attendance is essential for success in class attendance will be taken and will count 50 points. You will receive 2 points each day you attend to a maximum of 50 points for the semester. To receive all the points, you must be punctual and stay for the entire class.
