Oakland Community College has been selected to administer computer-based Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification exams.  Testing will be offered in January and February at the Auburn Hills Campus M-TEC Building’s ACT Center, Room 102.

 

Providing the ASE exams in computer-based form benefits automotive technicians by allowing more scheduling flexibility – including weekend options.  Technicians also get immediate feedback on their scores.

 

A total of 20 ASE exams will be available at Oakland Community College in computer-based format.  The three areas include Automobile Technician, Advanced Engine Performance Specialist, and Automobile Parts Specialist.

 

ASE certification is a professional credential recognized in many automobile maintenance and repair organizations.  Today, more than 400,000 ASE-certified professionals work in dealerships, service stations, collision repair shops, auto parts stores, machine shops, schools, and other institutions throughout the country.
