Free Transitions Seminar Set for OCC’s Auburn Hills Campus This Summer

“Creating Strategies for the 21st Century Worker” is the theme of the summer edition of Oakland Community College’s “Transitions” program, a free seminar designed to offer individuals support, direction and strategies to become self-empowered.

 

With the help of counseling professionals participants will examine personal, academic and career goals, then identify methods for reaching their objectives.  Topics to be covered include:

 

·        The Power of Networking

·        Career Outlook – Where are the Jobs of the Future?

·        Cross-Cultural Relations

·        Exploring Entrepreneurship as a Profitable Option

·        Developing the Critical Skills Required in a Global Marketplace

·        Creative Financial Management Techniques

·        Career and Lifelong Planning

·        Techniques for Managing Stress During Turbulent Times

·        Developing Job Search Skills

·        Exploring Educational Opportunities

 

Transitions will be offered Tuesday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at OCC’s Auburn Hills Campus.  The series will run from June 3 to July 8.  Admission is free, but space is limited and advance registration is required.  Participants must also meet certain income eligibility requirements.  The deadline to register is Friday, May 30.
