Tips
for Success
Here
are some tips from students who have taken my class.
Read them carefully, and heed their advice.
“NEVER
MISS A CLASS! It is vital that
you attend every class… Missing a day will set you back so far…”
“If
you are a student who has a problem with procrastination, get over it and
take full advantage of the chance to email the professor.”
“Start
each essay right after class.”
“Always
come to class, you will miss about fifteen useful handouts.
Mrs. Mutschler grades very fair, and as long as you show her that
you put effort into your work, your grade will reflect that.
Always go see the OWL tutor.”
“Stay
attentive, follow your handouts, and really strive to do the best you can
on the essays.”
“Always
be on time. Be prepared with
all your homework. Do your
homework right after the class. Do
not leave it until the last minute.”
“Never
EVER MISS A CLASS. If you do,
you’re going to be lost for the next couple of weeks after that.”
“Show
up for class or you will fall behind… Attendance is important in this
class.”
“Study
the handouts; they really help.”
“Don’t
miss any classes. Find
something that is interesting to you and write about it.”
“Spend
more time on your final drafts and make sure they are completely revised
from the rough draft.”
“Write
good rough drafts and outlines. It
REALLY helps with the final copy. Be
as thorough as possible.”
“Do
your homework when it is given. Come
to class and pay attention while you are in class.”
“Have
multiple people read your drafts.”
“Do
all of your work on time and don’t miss any class.”
“Never
put anything off until the last minute.
There is no possible way to complete everything that is given to
you in one night.”
“Keep
up with the class. Don’t
wait until the night before to go through the entire writing process.
Also, take advantage of the OWL tutor.”
“Don’t
wait until the last minute to write your paper.
Don’t be afraid to email the teacher.”
“Come
to class on time everyday. Ask
questions. Work had all the
time, not just in class.”
“DO
NOT PROCRASTINATE!!!”
“Do
all your work when assigned. Ask
if you need help. Really read
your book. Take peer editing
seriously. Don’t be absent;
a lot is covered in a day!”
“Email
your rough drafts to the professor at least once before writing the final
draft.”
“Come
to class daily. Do your
homework. Don’t
procrastinate.”
“Spread
the work load out. Don’t
wait until the day before class to do all your homework because you
won’t be able to get it done. Use
all the advice you get from your peers and the teacher about your paper.
It is really helpful to see and hear what others think about your
essay.”
