Web Registration and "Online Services"
The college has added additional capability to its website to provide increased service to students. The site allows you to:
- Register for classes
- Drop and add classes
- Pay for classes
- Check final grades
- Print a copy of your schedule
- Print a copy of your academic record
- Search the Schedule of Classes
- Check your financial records
- View updates to classes
- View status of transcript request
Make sure Online Services has your current e-mail address
This will allow us to reset your password electronically, send a reminder of the payment due date if you have an outstanding balance, notify you if
you are dropped from classes due to non-payment or a failed prerequisite, notify you if a section you are enrolled in is cancelled, send information
about the course syllabus, cancelled class meeting, special assignments, etc.
To check your e-mail address, go to Online Services and click on Change/Add E-mail.
Registration on the Web
All students who have an application on file may use the college website to register for classes. To access registration and other services, click on
the Online Services link on OCC's homepage, or go directly to
webreg.oaklandcc.edu. This link will get you to the Main Menu page where you are provided
with a tutorial on how to register using the college website.
For first time visitors:
- Once in the tutorial, read the instructions on how to use this website. There are several links on the page to explain different aspects of the
registration process. At any time you can return to Online Services by closing the browser window.
- Although you can search the schedule without logging in, to protect your privacy you must log in to the system to access other functions. To log
in, click the Log In button in the upper right corner of the Online Services menu.
- Enter your user name. In most cases, it is in the form lastname.firstname. If you are unsure of your user name click on the What’s my User
Name? link on the student menu.
- Next enter your password. When logging in for the first time, your initial password is the lowercase first letter of your first name, the uppercase
first letter of your last name, and your 6-digit birth date (fLmmddyy).
- Click the Submit button.
- The system will immediately prompt you to change your password. Enter the new password and make a note of it for future access to Online Services.
This password must contain 6-9 characters and include at least one upper case letter, one lower case letter and one number.
- Click the Submit button. When accepted, you will be at the Online Services Main Menu. From here click the Students link.
- From the Student Menu, you can now register by clicking the Register for Sections link.
For those who have used the Online Services and have changed their default password:
- If you forgot your password, click on the What’s my password? link.
- If you remember the password you created during the last registration, click on the Log In button and enter your user name and password.
- Click the Submit button. You will be at the Main Menu, click on the Students link.
- From the Student Menu, click on the Register for Sections link.
- Should you need to review how Online Services works, you can access the Online Services Tutorial from the Student Menu.
What do I need in order to register using Online Services?
- A computer connected to the internet.
- Your seven-digit Student Identification Number or your Social Security Number.
- Your password (for first-time users, this is the lowercase first letter of your first name, the uppercase first letter of your last name, and your
6-digit birth date (fLmmddyy).
- The current Schedule of Classes.
- The current OCC Catalog to assist with course information and prerequisites.
Reduce first day of registration delays!
OCC now provides students with the opportunity to select course sections well ahead of registration day! The shopping cart concept will allow students
to pre-select the names of course sections in which they might like to be registered. Then, at registration time, the simple press of a button can get
the section registered. Time spent registering can be significantly reduced because of the pre-selection of sections.
You are invited to visit OCC Online Services and select Register for Sections to use this new service.
