Service Learning is a multi-dimensional, win-win-win situation. It provides faculty an exciting and creative tool for teaching students. It provides special service to community causes, civic organizations and non-profit agencies. And, it provides students a meaningful way to become engaged with course material and with the ‘real world.’ They can see the results of their studies and their work, and they learn more effectively. It is a true reciprocal partnership.

Service Learning is a Community Development Model: It takes on real issues such as pollution control, hunger and homelessness, and diversity. Communities change for the better when service and learning are joined.
