Forensics means "telling the truth in front of a judge."
In communication areas, forensics means competitive speech and performance.

WHAT YOU MIGHT WANT TO KNOW:

The tournament season runs September-April.
We compete 2 - 3 times a semester in one and two day tournaments and festivals.
At each tournament, you’ll give your speech 2- 3 times to various coaches/judges.
This is a great way to network with other schools.
Anyone is invited to attend- few people tend to watch.
The school pays for registration and judging fees.
Periodically, scholarships are available. (Some fundraising events are scheduled.)
Undergraduates can receive college COM credits for competing.
Not an undergraduate? You may still be able to receive credit for other work.
