Leadership 360: Growing in Leadership

This comprehensive program builds on James M. Kouzes' and Barry Z. Posner's "Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership" as the focus of growth in leadership. This course gives you the opportunity to assess the results of a 360-degree feedback process and use those results to develop a personal action plan for becoming a more effective leader.

Four weeks before the start date of the program, you will receive a questionnaire called the Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI) to be completed by you and individuals who have directly observed you in a leadership role. The LPI measures your leadership behavior as it is observed by others.

In Session One, you will receive a detailed Feedback Report of the LPI. This report offers a complete picture of how you are perceived as a leader by others and will aide you in identifying strengths as well as areas that can benefit from improvement. The Feedback Report provides a roadmap for you to work on the Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership throughout the remainder of the program.

You will have reading and application assignments each week between sessions. Additionally, you are asked to commit to a structured conference with your manager before the program begins, and between each weekly session. Program Objectives:

• Use the Leadership Practices Inventory 360 feedback to identify your leadership strengths and weaknesses
• Increase competency in leadership skills
• Choose actions for improving your ability as a leader
• Commit to actions that YOU will take to improve your leadership
