Oakland Community College offers over 2,500 online courses in a wide variety of topic areas including:
desktop computer skills, information technology (IT) and technical certifications, Human Resource and
legal issues, leadership, sales and customer service, finance, project management, OSHA compliance and
workplace safety, management and supervisory development, business and professional development, clinical healthcare and life sciences, language training and much more.

MS Office Suite 2003
The Complete Microsoft Office Suite curriculum teaches students how to utilize the popular suite of
applications and become more effective on the job. This comprehensive curriculum provides training
for beginners as well as advanced users, and covers the most recognized business applications
in the world – Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word. This training delivers expert, instructor-led
training at scheduled class times for standard and advanced Microsoft Office 2003. The Office Live
solution includes a “Season Pass” that provides one full year of unlimited access to a complete
schedule of Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint classes.

Microsoft Project 2003
Successful completion of the Microsoft Project 2003 Foundations course will prepare students
for core-level certification and is appropriate for individuals currently working or seeking work in
small companies with multiple responsibilities. This includes: Construction Engineers, LAN Managers
Webmasters, Programmers, Analysts; and others responsible for projects consisting of multiple
tasks for customizing graphs and reports and for communicating project information and status. The
Microsoft Project 2003 will also demonstrate to superiors or prospective employers an aptitude for formal
project management. This course qualifies for 18 PDUs for certified PMPs or 18 Contact Hours for
candidates pursuing their certification.

Project Management – PMP Preparation
This course provides Project Managers with the knowledge and skills needed to attain the
coveted Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Students will study the five process
groups and the professional responsibility domain across all knowledge areas of the PMBOK
Guide 2000 and prepare to sit for PMP Exam. The five process groups studied in this course
include: Initiating Processes, Planning Processes, Executing Processes, Controlling Processes and
Closing Processes. The nine project management knowledge areas studied in this course include:
Integration Management, Scope Management, Time Management, Cost Management, Quality
Management, Human Resource Management, Communications Management, Risk Management
and Procurement Management. This course qualifies for 30 PDUs for certified PMPs or 30 Contact Hours
for candidates pursuing their certification.
