Health Care Administration

The American healthcare system is rapidly changing. Future medical and health services managers must be prepared to deal with the integration of health care delivery systems, technological innovations, an increasingly complex regulatory environment, restructuring of work, and an increased focus on preventive care. They will be called on to improve efficiency in health care facilities and the quality of the care provided.

The Oakland Community College Healthcare Administration (HCA) Program offers a one year Certificate as well as a two year Associate Degree option. Students who have completed either option are eligible to take the Michigan Nursing Home Administrator’s Examination to become licensed by the State of Michigan.
