The Medical Assisting Program (MDA) offers numerous program options including a 1-year certificate program, 2-year Associate Degree program or individual
certificates of achievement. Each option allows students marketable skills in many health care professions.

- No selection process for Certificates of Achievements
- Selection is required at the point of Practicum placements for the Medical Assisting Certificate (MDA.CT) or the Associate in Applied Science (MDA.AAS)
- Students must attend a Medical Assisting Orientation Session and pass a mandatory criminal background check prior to registration into all MDA courses (except MDA

Pre-registration is not required.
With additional education, medical assistants may move into other allied health occupations such as Physician's assistant, health care administration and technical
