Government Agencies

National Center for Education: As part of the United States Department of Education and the Institute of Education Sciences, the NCES site allows institutions access to surveys, data tools, and programs as well as other important tools.


Michigan Resources

SEMCOG: The Southwest Michigan Council of Governments provides resources for providing a better quality of life for Southwest Michigan residents.

Michigan Virtual University: The Michigan Virtual University provides online education and training opportunities to Michigan residents.

Oakland County: The Oakland County website provides visitors with an abundance of information including county history, demographics, job openings, and services.

Michigan Business and Economic Development: Michigan promotes job creation and economic growth focusing on state jobs, workforce, and employment development.

Michigan Department of Education: An official state of Michigan website which provides information to administrators, educators, and parents for programs and services offered.

Michigan Community College NETwork (MCCNET): Offers a wide range of information about Michigan Community Colleges.


The College Board: This annual survey allows institutions to report information to be included in a student resource, The College Handbook.

ACT Institutional Data Questionnaire: This questionnaire is used as a resource through ACT for prospective students and parents.

American Association of Community Colleges: As an advocate for the nation’s community colleges, the AACC site supplies materials on college development, finance, and more.

Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS): IPEDS is the primary data collection program for the National Center for Education. This site provides users with the tools and information for post secondary data collection.

Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education: This website provides viewers with a variety of resources in reference to higher education including professional development.

O*NET:   An interactive application for exploring and searching occupations.


Institutional Research Resources

Association for Institutional Research: Provides AIR calendar of events, membership information, news, guidelines, director and staff directory, job postings, and Electronic AIR newsletter.

Michigan Association of Institutional Research: An affiliate of the American Association of Institutional Research, MI AIR provides institutions with resources within Michigan in regard to Institutional Research practices and resources.
