Learn Fruit Carving at OCC
Learn to create an assortment of flowers and artfully
carved melons under the guidance of Oakland Community College’s Culinary
Studies Institute faculty member Chef Doug Ganhs, Food Network and Olympic
fruit carving champion – and take your masterpieces home with you on the last
day of class.
The class, which will also touch on Thai carving
techniques, will meet for three sessions at OCC’s Orchard Ridge Campus in
Farmington Hills: Thursday, June 6, and Friday, June 7 from 5 to 8:30 pm, and
Saturday, June 8 from 9 am to 12 noon.
Admission is $250, plus additional costs for tools.
Participants will also need an apron and a chef’s coat.
