OCC Women's Conference to Focus on Women's Wellness

Workshop topics include meditation, wellness, handling stress, nutrition, networking and navigating change

 

The Womencenter at Oakland Community College’s Orchard Ridge campus presents its 22nd annual conference for women.

 

The “A Call to Wholeness” conference is from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Saturday, March 22, 2014 in the J Building of OCC’s Orchard Ridge campus. The conference is open to the public and costs $40 per person. Registration includes the keynote speaker presentation, two workshops, continental breakfast, lunch, a prize drawing and a concluding session. Preregistration is strongly advised.

The conference keynote presenter is professional counselor Amy Tschirhart. Her interactive presentation, “Mindfulness and Meditation,” will help you reconnect with yourself.

 

Workshops will focus on navigating change, combatting stress, creative writing, organizing and de-cluttering, financial strategies, assertiveness, job search and networking, relationships, and nutrition.

This women’s conference is presented by the Womencenter, a facility that provides educational and supportive resources for area women.
