A Student Employment Candidate who does not meet the Work-Study Award qualifications
may be eligible to work as a Student Assistant at Oakland Community College.
There are limited student positions available at any given time. Hiring supervisors
have access to your Student Employment Eligibility Form (JP11)
on OCC's intranet system and will select candidates to interview. As positions become
available, you may be contacted by telephone or e-mail or you may choose to contact
the hiring supervisor. OCC Student Assistant candidates will be granted an interview
by the OCC departments only after a JP11 form has been completed and the JP11 has
been approved for Student Assistant eligibility by the Student Financial Resources
& Scholarships Officer.
International Students (F-1 Visa)
We welcome our international students to seek Student Assistant jobs on campus.
Procedures for verifying employment eligibility for international students are the
same as for any other individual under consideration for hiring. Any questions or
concerns regarding eligibility of an international (F-1) student may be addressed
by contacting the
International Student Office at your campus. It is the responsibility of
the student to contact the International Student Advisor about immigration regulations
regarding employment. Many non-immigrants are not eligible to work at all. F-1 students
are eligible to work on campus only if the F-1 immigration regulations have been
followed. F-1 students must be enrolled at full-time status for the current term.
