Student Ambassador Program

A Student Ambassador is a current OCC student that has completed a minimum of 12 credit hours at OCC and has a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher. He or she must be a U.S. citizen or be eligible for U.S. citizenship.
Ambassadors work a total of 120 hours during the fall and winter semesters in the following areas:

  • Staffing the welcome desk
  • Providing campus tours for visitors
  • Representing the college at community events
  • Working with faculty and staff at final registration, new student orientation and open house

Student Ambassadors reach out to both prospective and current students and make them aware of the programs and services available through OCC. In exchange for their service, ambassadors receive excellent resume building leadership training and experience, a letter of appreciation from the president of the Auburn Hills Campus (great for a career portfolio), and a $500. OCC scholarship.
