At OCC, we recognize our students balance complicated schedules that include not only classes, but also jobs, families and a variety of off-campus activities. We also know that learning doesn’t end when you leave class, and that engaged students are successful students in the classroom, on the job, and out in the community.

So we invite you to participate in:

Student Organizations: such as Student Mentor Club, Anime Club, Gamers Guild, PTK, Film Society, International Youth Fellowship, Rhythm of the Cultures Dance Club, Writers Block, Basketball Club and many more cropping up every day. For more info, visit: Student Clubs page.

Student Activities: Student Appreciation Day complete with a Flying Money Machine & Free Food; Earth Day Film & Chill Out 2009 Rally; Student Life Speaker Series; Rock the Vote 2008 Rally; OCC Idol Competition; International Film Festival; Black History Month Series; Chancellor’s Leadership Academy, Art Show and Essay Competition and much, much more! For more info, visit: Calendar of Events page.

Service Learning: students can apply what they learn in the classroom through volunteer projects with organizations in the community. Some projects are even available for college credit or monetary scholarship awards.
