Delta Network Services Creates New OCC Scholarship for IT Students

A new college scholarship, given by Delta Network Services, has been established to support OCC students looking to surpass their educational goals. The scholarship encourages success, fosters scholastic achievement and provides financial assistance to students in the field of computer information systems.

"Delta has long been among our most generous donors," said Dan Jenuwine, Executive Director of the Oakland Community College Foundation. "This scholarship is a new way to help and encourage students preparing for high-demand fields and we are grateful for their support."

The new Delta Scholarship will provide four $2,500 awards for students in Computer Information Systems (CIS) degree programs, a field in high demand according to PayScale's 2017-18 College Salary Report. OCC currently has four CIS programs: Business Systems Analysis, Cybersecurity, Information Technology Support and Software Engineering.
