The Oakland Community College EMS Program offers state
approved initial training and continuing education courses from the
Emergency First Responder to Paramedic levels. Students that
successfully complete an initial training course and the clinical
requirements will be eligible to take the National Registry examination for
licensure in the State of Michigan. The Oakland EMS Academy's
continuing education classes are offered in both lecture and practical
formats which are compliant with the State of Michigan’s continuing
education requirements for maintaining your license.

Auburn Hills Campus; the Oakland EMS Academy is able to offer the most
progressive and up to date training available on the state of the art
site. Practical instruction takes place in a bank, convenience store,
motel and furnished houses. Lectures are conducted in
comfortable, climate controlled classrooms utilizing the latest in
instructional presentation technology including video conferencing as
wireless internet capabilities.
